A leading mobile phone manufacturer recently launched a sleek, classy and feature-rich, touch screen model . Among the attractions of this phone are two preloaded cricket games developed by Nextwave. The graphics, game play and programming have been designed and developed to take full advantage of the phone's touch screen capability, making the games very easy and exciting to play.

Nextwave develops multiplayer games
Multiplayer games are excellent social marketing tools for brands. Multiplayer games open up opportunities for players to interact with like-minded persons across the world while giving gaming portals the distinct advantage of attracting more players.
These games call for excellent design besides sophisticated programming capability and delivery. Taking up the challenge Nextwave has successfully developed multiplayer games for Cricket, Mini Golf, Cards games and Snooker.
These games offer players the facility of a lobby to meet other players and create game rooms. Private game rooms where playing is by invitation only, and public game rooms open to all and also for those wishing to view players in action without participating. These games also have chat facility for players to interact and avatar creation and management options.
To deliver these games Nextwave took overall responsibility for game designing, programming, server-side programming and client-side programming. Nextwave is developing multiplayer games for the mobile platform also.

Nextwave develops Live Cricket Match Simulator
Nextwave Multimedia developed a Live Match Simulator engine for www.krishcricket.com
The Live Match Simulator, available both on the web and mobile phones, graphically displays the game as it is being played on the field in real time. It virtually displays every delivery bowled, shots played and every ball fielded in great detail, giving the viewer an opportunity to catch the action as it happens live. It also displays the scorecard, statistics and the match summary of the game.
The simulator displays a highly accurate and one of the best live simulations of the real time game.

Nextwave develops online and mobile cricket games
www.krishcricket.com, a one-of-a-kind gaming website that contains exciting online and mobile cricket games developed exclusively for the site, was launched on 29 May 2006 by former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli in the presence of former India captain, Kris Srikkanth. The launch of the website was widely covered by leading newspapers and television channels.
The website, designed and developed by Nextwave Multimedia, features a number of cutting-edge cricket-related games including a complete one-day game called Krish Cricket Challenge that offers the players a unique cricketing experience. The mobile versions of these games developed in JAVA can be played on a wide range of handsets right from Nokia and Sony Ericsson to Motorola, Samsung and LG. Nextwave will continue to work on the higher versions of these games.
The site also contains a number of other interesting downloadable items, streaming videos and exclusive cricket lessons by Kris Srikkanth.

Nextwave's workshop for students
Recently, Nextwave Multimedia conducted a workshop on Digital Video Production exclusively for the students of a leading International School.
The workshop aimed at educating the students on the nuances and processes of Digital Video, which is an important medium in visual communication. The students acquired hands-on experience in handling a range of video equipment.
It was a valuable exposure to the students who obtained a broad perspective of Digital Video Production.

Making the World Wide Web work for you
In recognition of our expertise in the online media, our senior team member, Mr.Gopal Singh Golan, was invited by the Public Relations Society of India to conduct a half-day workshop for its members.
The purpose of the workshop, conducted on September 26, 2005, was to help the communication professionals understand how to put the Web to work for their business, with a focus on finding, acquiring and retaining customers.
The attendees were offered detailed guidance in how to establish their goals when creating a web site and were given tips on website usability, design and copy. The participants also learnt about online marketing tools like emails, enewsletters, ads, banner and link exchanges, viral marketing, and so on.
