This time Nextwave goes down into the mines to shoot for a product video

As part of a video production assignment, we recently completed a 6-day shoot at Hyderabad, Bangalore and Sathupally. The last is 80 km from Khammam in Telengana state, where we spent 3 days.

Although we have shot in varied locations across India (we have also shot abroad) that include tough terrains like stone quarries in Tamilnadu and Kerala and the mountains of Uttarakhand, the open cast coal mines at Sathupally fall in a category that is best described as difficult and dangerous. If you also include the heat and the dust, it was extremely tough, too. The photographs accompanying this post will give you an idea of the location.

With a compact team of 5, and using 2 cameras, we shot some very dramatic footage, including those of blasting, that will all go in making the video. The post-production, including 3D animations to explain the features of the product, is on and the final video is scheduled to be ready soon.
